Jenny Interviews Somerset Patriots Player Cole Gabrielson

On June 26, 2025, I got the opportunity to interview Somerset Patriots player Cole Gabrielson during batting practice on the field. Cole wears number 6 and plays all three outfield positions, including left field, center field, and right field. He can also serve as the designated hitter. As someone who loves baseball and dreams of becoming a sports reporter, getting to interview a professional baseball player on the field was an experience I'll never forget.

What makes this interview even more special is that Cole was the very first player I ever interviewed. After meeting him, he quickly became one of my favorite players because of how kind and supportive he was. Looking back, this interview helped give me the confidence to continue pursuing sports reporting and led to many more interviews with athletes and community leaders. I'm excited to share the video of this special interview and one of the moments that helped start my journey with the Score Beyond the Lights Foundation.
