Trenton Thunder Interviews | Jenny Meets Players & Coaches

My Day with the Trenton Thunder: Meeting Incredible People and Sharing Their Stories

Getting to spend the day with the Trenton Thunder was one of the coolest experiences I have ever had. I had the opportunity to interview six amazing people who all have different stories to share. I interviewed Shawn Chacon, Mike Whooley, Louis Percival, Juju Stevens, Jake Koonin, and Joshua Johnson (Coach JJ). Every interview taught me something new, and I loved getting to know each of them beyond baseball.

One of my favorite parts of the day was getting to sit in the broadcast booth with Mike Warren, the Director of Broadcast & Media Relations. I always thought calling a baseball game looked fun, but I had no idea how much work goes into making everything happen. Mike showed me how he does the play by play while also helping manage commercials, sponsors, promotions, and so many other things that happen behind the scenes. It gave me a whole new appreciation for everyone who helps make game day special for the fans.

We started the Score Beyond the Lights Foundation because I love hearing people's stories. Every person has a journey, and I believe those stories can inspire others to chase their dreams, be kind, and never give up. The Trenton Thunder gave me the chance to do exactly that, and I am so thankful.

Thank you to everyone in the Trenton Thunder organization for welcoming me and making me feel like part of the team. I especially want to thank Mike Warren for putting everything together, arranging all of the interviews, and taking the time to show me what happens behind the scenes. Your kindness, encouragement, and support meant so much to me, and you helped make this a day I will never forget.

Below, you can watch each of my interviews and browse through photos from this incredible day. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them. Thank you for supporting the Score Beyond the Lights Foundation and for helping us share stories that inspire others to look beyond the lights and see the amazing people behind the game.

Thank you for coming along on this journey with me. I cannot wait to share even more amazing stories with you!
